The bed in my room was incredibly comfy, making it the highlight of my stay, and I loved the free parking, which was super handy. I really enjoyed unwinding in the lovely garden area and taking some time by the rooftop terrace. It would have been nice to have a coffee shop on-site since I arrived early and didn't have anywhere to grab a quick bite. ☕

The location is decent, just a 20-minute stroll to the centre, and breakfast served fresh fruit and haggis, which was delightful. The room was cozy, but somewhat cramped. A bit disappointing that there was no lift for my luggage, but the staff were very attentive and helpful throughout my stay.

Nice Stay with a Cozy Vibe
We had a pretty good time overall. The bar area was nice, and breakfast was tasty. The staff were super friendly and helped us out a lot. Just a bit bummed that our room was more like basic student digs than the charming old building we expected. Still, it was clean and comfy for a night.

Staying here with my kids was delightful. The beautiful heritage building felt homely, and the newly renovated bathrooms were a treat after a long day of exploring. The staff, especially Marisol and Shannon, were super accommodating, making our family feel genuinely welcomed.
In my wife's opinion, the breakfast setup was chaotic. It would help if there were more seating arrangements for families, preventing awkward moments with other guests.

The hotel had a beautiful charm and was a perfect getaway location. The room was recently refurbished with super comfy beds, which made our stay enjoyable. It's a short distance from the Royal Mile and other attractions, making it easy to explore the city. amenities weren't restocked during our four-night stay, which was a bit disappointing.

Couple seeking a memorable stay
The staff was incredibly helpful, especially this one guy Greg who really made our stay special. Even when we were frustrated about the room situation, he took the time to get us sorted with a lovely upgraded space and some snacks. It felt like he cared about our experience, like a friend really.
Look, it wasn’t exactly cheap – but you know what, for that level of service, I can live with it.

Had an awesome stay with friends! We explored the amazing Royal Mile and climbed Arthur's Seat, both a short walk away. The garden was a nice spot to relax, and the breakfast was delicious, even though it got busy. Would definitely recommend this place for a fun group trip!
Our room was a bit small, which made it crowded with our luggage. We could have used more space to move around comfortably.

Charming stay with a touch of luxury
We had a lovely 4-night stay! The room was really spacious and the bathroom was nice and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful which made it feel even better. Loved the breakfast too, especially the haggis! Only thing was the shower setup wasn’t great and made the floor a bit wet, annoying after a nice shower.

Charming Heritage Building with Wonderful Staff
I had a lovely 3-night stay in a cozy double room surrounded by the beautiful architecture of the hotel. The area was peaceful, being on the university campus, and the dining room was a delight, creating an inviting atmosphere while enjoying my meals. The staff were exceptional, especially Marisol and Shannon, who made my experience even more enjoyable with their warm service. One thing that could be improved is the distance to the city center, which requires a bit of a walk.

It was a strong match for a short stint in Edinburgh with good value considering the price. The breakfast ordering process needs work since it took them a while to get my order wrong twice. Make sure to time your breakfast early to avoid long waits.

I stayed for three nights in the Executive Double Room. The bed felt great, really comfortable. The recently renovated bathroom added a nice touch. The location is perfect for a walk into the city, and everything was clean throughout. the university parking can be a hassle. Often, it’s full, leading us to leave the car where it was. The corridor noise in the morning from others chatting was quite distracting.
